The observatory now layers falling rain, drifting mist and droplets over the original artwork. Water gathers and runs down the glass. The telescope, railing and room stay in front of the weather.

The effect reuses the scene image instead of downloading a background video. It stops while a reading view is open, the tab is hidden, or motion is paused. A reduced-motion preference keeps the scene still.

The aim is a place that feels alive when you arrive and settles down when you have something to read.
